Life as we know it...
Is about to drastically change. I have a walker. My darling beautiful babe is now trying to toddle all over the place. Do you think my place is child-proofed? Yeah right.
Oh.
Shit.
This is a journey into motherhood for the second time. The first time the traveller was an unwed teenager. This second time around the journey involves a husband and the traveler is much older and world wearier. The first child is also now a teenager making a nice age difference between kids. The traveler is probably crazy for embarking on this journey a second time after so many years.

I have yet to post on the subject, the reason I started this blog, and that was my wonderful children. In particular my new daughter, who as I think about it, isn't very new anymore at all. She's 10 mos old. I also have a 16 year old, soon to be 17 year old son. I KNOW nuts right? Huge age difference and some days I really DO think I am crazy.
Last night my DH and I ordered a pizza for dinner. Now if you are not from my area of the country (Southwestern CT close to NYC) You may not know that New Yorkers, maybe more than Chicagoeans even, are very particular about their pizza. According to my DH there is no good pizza to be found where we live, he just tolerates what we can get. Where we live the pizza is definitely different. There are an abundance of Greek owned restaurants that make pizza. In case you have never had Greek pizza, it can be characterized as cut into rough squares rather than large triangles, and the layer of cheese is VERY thick. You NEVER have to order extra cheese with Greek pizza. I happen to really like this style of pizza. Yes NYC has some really great pizza restaurants but to have such an elitist attitude over pizza is nuts to me. It's not a t-bone steak or a lovely steamed lobster or chocolate mousse for goodness sake. It's Pizza! BTW DH is not even from NYC, he is from the suburbs. Go figure.
Yesterday I spent most of the day hiding from most coverage of commemorations of the day as well as the documentaries. I will never forget so in my opinion I didn't need all the news stories or the President to remind me what a horrible tragic day this was 5 years ago. It will not bring back all the dead. Let's honor their memory in another way or better yet, lets take better steps to ensure this does not happen again.
So I'm not exactly sure how this whole blog thing is going to play out. The truth is I'm very lazy and generally my philosphy in life is to get by with the bare minimum. So for me to embark on something such as this where I would have to frequently update or at least check in often so as not to let myself look like an uninteresting loser is a huge step. There is a method to this madness.
